We are here today to launch Cultural Diversity Week 2026 Victorians should take part in Cultural Diversity Week, because there is a lot of strength in the Victorian people of where we've come from and what we've brought here to Victoria.
Every culture is honoured and ensure that every voice is heard and every single Victorian valued. I actually really liked what Kashif Bouns said earlier.
About a salad bowl we’re all our own individual ingredients but we come together to create a really nice product.
I am going to participate in Cultural Diversity Week 2026 by going to Grazeland to celebrate, by talking to my friends and family about my culture, about their culture and learning more.
"Culture connects us all" means to me the chance to reach out to friends, communities and understand we have so much more in common.
Being born in Samoa, like, I think coming to Australia and seeing how many cultures that are, living here, but also now that I'm playing AFLW, I see so many multicultural players being involved in the game.
I'm Ethiopian born and I absolutely love Ethiopian food, and I don't find enough time to eat it and my way to connect with my culture is going to some of the beautiful restaurants in Melbourne.
Victorians should take part in Cultural Diversity Week because it's such a rich part of our history. It's always a wonderful opportunity to learn more about each and everyone within the community.
It's very important that we understand how each person and culture do things.
I think it's important to learn. Share a meal. And I think it's the glue that keeps people together.
Victorians should take part in Cultural Diversity Week, because it's a really fun to show up in Victoria and show all the different layered tapestries of culture that make this place what it is.
Cultural diversity is like a bicycle. You have to keep pedalling. We all have to keep working towards it. And if we all lean into it and we all work towards it, it’ll be something that we protect and will maintain and will continue to be one of the great defining features of Victoria.
Happy Cultural Diversity Week!
