Strengthening communities

We support and advocate for culturally and linguistically diverse Victorians

As the main link between communities and government, the Victorian Multicultural Commission engages with multicultural and multifaith groups to understand the issues they face. We then work together to identify and recommend potential solutions to government, policymakers and community organisations to make public services more inclusive and accessible. 

Victoria’s diversity is strengthened through our programs and events

Multicultural Youth Network

MYN is a platform for members to advise the VMC and Government Departments on matters affecting multicultural young people. Expressions of interest closing Sunday 21 August.

Multicultural Film Festival

An annual short film festival exploring diversity and multiculturalism.

Multicultural Awards for Excellence

Recognising the ways Victorians strengthen multiculturalism. Nominations are now open for Multicultural Awards for Excellence 2022.

Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll

The first ever Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll will recognise the efforts of individuals who have made an exceptional and lasting contributions to multiculturalism in Victoria.

Victorian Refugee Awards

We are proud to coordinate these annual awards which recognise people, businesses and organisations who have excelled through their study, work, entrepreneurship, or volunteering.

Victorian Multicultural Gala Dinner

VMC Regional Advisory Councils

Regional Advisory Councils inform the Victorian Multicultural Commission about the issues that matter most to diverse Victorians.

Multicultural Chambers of Commerce Group

The Victorian Multicultural Commission coordinates a network of Victoria’s multicultural chambers of commerce to promote community and economic prosperity.

Multifaith Advisory Group

The Multifaith Advisory Group comprises religious leaders across Victoria communities. It provides advice on issues affecting faith communities.
