Tonight is a very special night because we have multicultural community champions from all part of Victoria coming here together to celebrate the Victorian Multicultural Commission's End of Year Event.
The people in the room tonight, are community leaders, members of the Regional Advisory Council, members of the Multifaith Advisory
Group, members of the Multicultural Youth Network, members of Parliament, including our Parliamentary Secretary Nick Staikos.
These events are important because I think it's great to have our communities together I think the networking and listening to
what others are doing is great.
It's my first time to be here, and I'm looking forward to networking with other multicultural community leaders.
And I just met up with a few of them, and it's very interesting to know what they are doing, and I've asked for advice as to what I can do in my community as well. So, it's learning for me tonight.
These events are very important for us because we develop the rapport and support from the multicultural Victoria as well as what kind of help
we can look forward to over the next coming years for our organisation to develop.
It's very important for us to celebrate what makes us unique as Victorians. We all have something to contribute from our culture while embracing being Australian.
