Each Commissioner brought unique expertise, thoughtful guidance and a spirit of collaboration that strengthened VMC’s reach and deepened our community connections.
These Commissioners led with compassion, wisdom and dedication. Their significant contributions advanced VMC’s mission to strengthen our community through support, celebrations and advocacy for culturally, religiously and linguistically diverse Victorians.
The VMC recognises, especially, Deputy Chairperson, Bwe Thay, whose steadfast support and vital advice has been invaluable to the VMC. Bwe has been a champion for building bridges across cultures and faiths and has led with humility, vision and courage.
As these Commissioners conclude their terms, we celebrate their legacy and thank them for their tireless efforts. Their impact will be felt for years to come, and we are forever grateful.
To both our outgoing and continuing Commissioners: thank you for your service, your leadership, and your belief in what we do. The VMC will continue to promote full participation by Victoria’s diverse communities in the social, cultural, economic and political life of our state.
VMC Chairperson Vivienne Nguyen AM, Commissioner Dr Judy Tang and Commissioner Sylvia Coombe will continue their terms, providing valuable continuity to the Commission’s work.
