It is with deep regret that I inform you of Maria Dimopoulos’ resignation as Deputy Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
Maria has chosen to pursue other opportunities, with her resignation effective from 24 July 2020.
Since Maria commenced her appointment in September 2019, she has contributed immensely to the work of the Commission.
She has advocated strongly for the needs of multicultural communities in Victoria and worked tirelessly to address issues including family violence, racism and equality.
Her wealth of experience, strategic advice and genuine compassion for communities will be missed by Commissioners and staff.
I wish her the very best for the future.
