Our multicultural grants
Our grants programs support communities to:
- celebrate and share their culture and traditions
- build social and cultural connections, community partnerships and leadership
- improve multicultural community infrastructure
- better engage and support newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers
- identify and respond to racial and religious intolerance
Grant programs are run throughout the year, with different application periods.

Multicultural Community Infrastructure Fund
Grants of up to $400,000 are available to support multicultural community groups to undertake upgrades or build community facilities.

Multicultural Festivals and Events Program
Grants of up to $50,000 available to support multicultural festivals and events

Priority response to multicultural communities (PRMC)
The CALD Communities Taskforce is partnering with organisations to develop local solutions to respond to the impacts of COVID-19.

Multicultural Seniors Support Program
Multicultural seniors’ groups can access grants of $2,000 per year over the period 2021-25. These grants are provided to support their members and build stronger community connections.
Multicultural Communications Outreach Program 2.0
Grants up to $75,000 are available to support multicultural communities to produce and distribute content that provides information about the COVID-19 vaccination program and encourages COVIDSafe behaviour.
Multicultural Media Stimulus Program
Receive up to $50,000 to support your multicultural media organisation recover from the impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Local Anti-Racism Initiatives Grants Program
Grants of up to $500,000 are available to support local anti-racism and community harmony efforts.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Support for Multicultural Seniors 2020-21
The Coronavirus Support for Multicultural Seniors 2020-21 grants program is providing up to $2000 in funding to multicultural seniors’ groups during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) youth content campaign
Funding between $2000 and $20,000 is available for young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to create content that encourages COVIDSafe behaviour.

2020 Multicultural Media Grants Program
Receive up to $25,000 to extend your Multicultural Media outlet’s reach and impact.

2020 African Communities Board and Governance program
The 2020 African Communities Board and Governance Program offers training for 45 African community leaders seeking to advance their board careers.

Indian Community Infrastructure Fund
The Indian Community Infrastructure Fund (ICIF) supports Indian communities across Victoria to upgrade community facilities.

Community Innovation Grant Program
The Community Innovation Grant Program provides funding to African community organisations and community groups based in Victoria to deliver innovative community projects which support the inclusion and participation of Victoria’s African communities.

Hindu Festivals and Events
Receive up to $2,000 to hold Hindu festivals, events and celebrations

Sikh Celebrations and Events Fund
Supporting Sikh celebrations and events for the 550th birthday anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, founder of Sikhism, during October and November 2019.

Capacity Building and Participation Program
Receive up to $75,000 to build the knowledge and skills of multicultural and faith-based communities across Victoria

Community Harmony Grants Program
Receive up to $100,000 for preventative initiatives that address social disharmony, racial and religious intolerance
Security Infrastructure Fund for multicultural and multifaith communities
Receive up to $75,000 to upgrade and install security infrastructure in existing multicultural and multifaith community facilities
